This year, perhaps more than most, our teams at The Crew Network (TCN) and FRASER have heard and shared more stories and anecdotes with our captains and crew of fun, memorable, sad or insightful events or observations than ever before. Stories that have kept spirits up when perhaps they were flagging, anecdotes that have reminded us all of the common ground and goals we share in yachting.
In fact, so rich in humour, observation and experience were those stories, that we felt it was time you had the chance to commit them to paper and give them a chance to shine and be enjoyed by everyone.
So we have created THE TCN/FRASER SHORT STORY COMPETITION 2020 with the theme: When Life is Your Short Story.
If you are a Captain or crew member currently working on board vessels 24m (79’) and up, anywhere in the world today, then we invite you to unleash your imagination and story-telling skills and take part in our inaugural short story competition.
You have until SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER 2020 to submit your, hopefully, winning work.
And if you can whoa our panel of Judges then not only could your story end up being published on the TCN/FRASER websites and shared in the FRASER NEWSLETTER but you can be in with a chance of winning one of these three great prizes below.
A year’s subscription to MASTERCLASS online courses together with a signed copy of Mark Duncan’s book “Smart Yacht Marketing 101”.
A beautiful collection of environmentally sustainable cleaning and personal care products donated by our Sponsor EcoStore.
”Every sailors best friend – a leatherman” donated by our Sponsor MSOS.
All three winners will also receive the new FRASER Eco-friendly insulated 1 litre water bottle.
Just check out the Rules & Regulations, get writing your story and once you are happy with it, complete the Submission Form on this page and send your story for our Jury to start reading.
Entries deadline: SUNDAY 4th OCTOBER 2020
Winners announcement: MONDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2020
